According to reporting from CoinDesk, Thailand's Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) has alleged that Bitkub, a cryptocurrency exchange, concealed a cyberattack that led to a significant hack in 2021.
The cyberattack, which occurred in May 2021, resulted in the theft of 1.7 billion baht across 16 different digital assets, equivalent to approximately $50 million.
The SEC's allegations suggest that Bitkub failed to disclose the cyberattack, which is a serious concern for investor protection and market integrity.
