Bitcoin and ether price volatility around the Federal Reserve's rate decision has resulted in significant losses for traders. According to reporting from CoinDesk, price swings wiped out $286 million in leveraged bets, clearing positions for roughly 90,000 traders.
The losses were unusually evenly distributed between bulls and bears, with neither side experiencing significantly more losses than the other. This volatility occurred despite the fact that prices for bitcoin and ether remain relatively flat over a 24-hour period.
